On-Site Renewable Energy

Mandatory

On-site renewable energy resources on LACCD campuses consists of solar photovoltaic power, solar thermal energy, wind power generation, and biodigesters. LACCD has committed to generating at least 10% of the building’s energy use shall come from on-site renewable energy.

 

For LEED purposes, renewable energy generated on-site can be subtracted from the building’s overall energy usage, calculated in EA Credit 1 to increase overall energy savings of a particular project.

      None

      Generate at least 10% of the building’s energy from on-site renewable sources.

      This energy can be generated adjacent to, or on, the actual buildings in question, as long as renewable energy generated does not serve multiple projects.
