FF&E Considerations

RECOMMENDED

Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) considerations include resource reutilization through use of salvaged or existing furniture, fixtures and equipment, screening of hazardous chemicals from the manufacture, use, and maintenance of furniture and equipment, as well as the selection of energy efficient equipment and appliances.

These considerations minimize the need for newly manufactured materials and help achieve savings in energy consumption and water use. In addition, the use of low-emitting products improves Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and provides healthy working and learning environments for students, faculty and administrators.

Applicable items include: systems furniture, desks and tables, seating, storage, appliances and equipment.
